I, the seller, guarantee that your Puppy is in good physical health and free of any verifiably inherited life threatening genetic diseases or disabilities unless otherwise stated. You, as the buyer, have 48 hours (2 business days) to have this puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice. The puppy should be examined by your vet to confirm its soundness. If you, the buyer, chooses not to have this Puppy examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours then you accept this puppy “as is” at the time of sale. SELLER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VET BILLS OR EXPENSES.
If the puppy, within 48 hours after the buyer takes possession, is found by a licensed veterinarian to not be in good health (COMMON PUPPY PROBLEMS LISTED BELOW ARE EXCLUDED) you must notify us within 48 hours with a written statement from your licensed veterinarian. The Breeder then agrees to refund the purhase price upon return of the puppy (uninjured or harmed) and registration papers to the breeder, along with a written statement from a licensed veterinarian. Should the Buyer neglect to take the puppy for this exam within the time frame allotted, the guarantee expires automatically and Buyer thereafter accepts immediate and full responsibility for the Puppy's health, both as to known and unknown diseases, disabilities, genetic defects, and any other health conditions of the Puppy. Shipping Costs are non-refundable and are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. A returned puppy must be returned to the seller in good condition, other than the specified problem, at the buyer's expense.
All vet bills incurred by the Buyer, are the sole responsibility of the Buyer and will under no circumstances be paid by the Seller. If this puppy is found to have a documented life threatening inherited condition within 12 months from the date of purchase, Seller will then provide Buyer with a replacement pet quality puppy as soon as such a puppy is available to Seller. Should death occur, from a hereditary disease, within 12 months of purchase, Buyer will provide Seller with a veterinarian statement stating the exact cause of death. Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents of the original puppy. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs incurred for a replacement puppy.
If Buyer chooses Euthanasia without prior consent from the Seller, Buyer will forfeit any guarantees within this contract. Buyer agree to fill out all necessary forms to return ownership of puppy to Seller. Puppy is being sold as a companion pet only and therefore exact size, weight and temperament of this puppy cannot be guaranteed at adulthod. No other guarantees apply, oral or written, including color or breeding ability of puppy at adulthood.
Seller is NOT responsible for any “COMMON PUPPY PROBLEMS”. Seller will not be responsible for any accident, illness or injury that may be caused by improper care or treatment by the Buyer once the puppy leaves Seller's care (including but not limited to Hypoglycemia). Hypoglcemia is a disorder caused by low blood sugar; it can occur in toy breed puppies between 6 and 16 weeks of age and occurs when a puppy misses a meal, stress from changing homes or parasites. Be aware that stress and change of dog food can cause upset tummies and even bloody stools.
The following parasites are common to puppies and are not covered: Coccidia, Giardia, Ear Mites, Roundworm, Hookworm, and Tapeworm. These do not render your puppy unhealthy. These conditions can be caused from the ground, in water and public places and being around other pets. Buyer also understands the following slight defects are not considered serious or life threatening and therefore are not covered: fleas, mites, bacterial/viral infections, umbilical hernia, inguinal hernia, cherry eye, entropion, dry eye, undescended testicles, under bite or over bite, dew claws, alopecia, demodectic mange, open fontanel and luxating patellas. Puppy will have had a minimum of it's first immunization shots before it leaves the sellers home. Buyer MUST take precautions to protect your puppy till it has completed it's series of shots. Buyer agrees to provide usual and customary care and vet services for this animal's lifetime.
These things usually occur withing the first two weeks after you take your puppy home.
Most of these problems are stress related.
Stress can occur when your puppy is taken into a new enviroment. Your puppy is in many ways like a child during his/her first weeks at a new school. Your puppy may look fine in the his/her familiar surroundings but shortly after bringing the puppy to a new home, stress related symptoms might arise. We have compiled this list of “Commom Puppy Problems” that should clear up quickly after you and your new puppy get used to your new life together. These problems can occur no matter where a puppy was purchased and therefore are NOT SUBJECT TO REFUNDS.
DIARRHEA: Diarrhea can occur from stress, change of diet/water, or any change in enviroment.
LACK OF APPETITE: This may occur for the first few days. If your puppy is not eating, you may add a little PLAIN NON-FAT YOGURT or CANNED WET FOOD to the dry food. The yogurt may stimulate your puppy's appetite. DO NOT add these things to every meal or this may spoil your puppy and he/she will want it at every meal.
CRYING: Most puppies will go through a period of adjustment when they join a new family. The puppy will cry when put into the crate to sleep. Make sure there is nothing really wrong with the puppy and try to “ignore the noise”. Soon the puppy will learn crying doesn't work to get your attention.
To validate this guarantee, Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 2 business days (48 hours) of acquiring the puppy. This guarantee applies to the original buyer and is non-transferable to a second party. If the puppy is not taken to a vet by ____________ , then all terms of this contract will be void.
By signing below, the Buyer has read, fully understands and agrees to the terms and conditions of this contract.
